The document presents several case studies taken during the process of establishing a knowledge base on Gender Mainstreaming in Trade and Economy in Syria. The aim of the case studies is to provide efficient qualitative information to complete the quantitative data and statistics on the economic status of women in Syria. The case studies are based on three levels: the Macro Levels, which include relevant ministries; the Meso Level, including the department for rural Women and the Chambers of Commerce; and the Micro level, including NGOs and the community.
