Womenwatch is the central gateway to information and resources on the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women throughout the United Nations system, including the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the United Nations Secretariat, regional commissions, funds, programmes, specialized agencies, and academic and research institutions. The portal contains a directory of resources on selected topics including the critical areas of concern of the Beijing Platform for Action, statistics and indicators, gender mainstreaming and online clearinghouses on themes currently on the United Nations global agenda, such as climate change. The mission of Persian/ate Gender Network (PGN) is to establish a link and be a focal point among the multitude of organizations and individuals which work on gender issues in Persian-speaking countries(practitioners, researchers, academicians, civil society, policy makers, and advocates), so that they can capitalize on their collective knowledge and synergize each other's work and efforts.
The initial focus of PGN's work program is around women's economic empowerment through employment, self-employment and entrepreneurship. It serves women in Persian speaking countries of Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
PGN is initiated and funded by the World Bank and operated by the Tunisia-based Center for Arab Women's Training and Research (CAWTAR).

Women Gateway was established in 2002 as a joint venture project between the Bahrain Business Women's Society and Al-Nadeem Information Technology. The portal received special care and continuous support from HRH Princess Sabika Bent Ibrahim Alkhalifa wife of his majisty the King of Bahrain , President of the Supreme Council for Women.

Women Gateway addresses the Arab women and provide them with the information and services needed, aiming to enhance their contributions to the development of their communities, and improve their performance in the various fields of bussiness and professions.

Promoting gender EQUALITY between MEN and WOMEN in the Euro-Mediterranean:
Gender equality is a fundamental objective for the States in the Euro-Mediterranean area. They see it as a vector of democracy and peace in a region which aspires to coexistence, stability and prosperity and where the emancipation of women is regarded as a factor of development for society as a whole.

The Center of Arab Woman for Training and Research (CAWTAR) was created on March 7, 1993 in response to the request of a number of Arab governments and civil society organizations and institutions. CAWTAR was created to provide the region with a center of research and studies relating to gender and the status of women, of advocacy for the improvement of women's status and of data collection, indicators and statistics.

The Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND) is a regional network working in 10 Arab countries with seven national networks and 23 NGO members. ANND was initiated in 1997 and had its secretariat office in Beirut since 2000.

The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) is a directorate under the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

'Karama' is the Arabic word for dignity, as well as an initiative fueled by a coalition of partners as constituencies to build a movement to end violence against women in the Middle East and North Africa. Karama puts emphasis on women from the ground up, addressing violence as they define it, with solutions of their own design.

Launched in 2005 to provide a framework for coordination, cooperation, and linkage among people working to stop violence against women, Karama has initiated an unprecedented range of multi-sectoral collaboration and advocacy by women across the region at the national, regional, and international levels.

Karama's partners include organizations in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, and Palestine with experience in political advocacy, research, service provision, community outreach, and working with targeted groups.
