The Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID) is an international, feminist, membership organization committed to achieving gender equality, sustainable development and women's human rights. Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN) is a network of feminist scholars, researchers and activists from the economic South working for economic and gender justice and sustainable and democratic development. DAWN provides a forum for feminist research, analyses and advocacy on global issues (economic, social and political) affecting the livelihoods, living standards, rights and development prospects of women, especially poor and marginalized women, in regions of the South. Through research, analyses, advocacy and, more recently, training, DAWN seeks to support women's mobilization within civil society to challenge inequitable social, economic and political relations at global, regional and national levels, and to advance feminist alternatives.

International Relief and Development (IRD) is one of the premier organizations implementing development services and programs across a broad spectrum of regions and technical activities. In brief : "Our mission is to reduce the suffering of the world's most vulnerable groups and to provide tools and resources needed to increase their self-sufficiency. We accomplish this mission by running targeted, cost-effective development programs that improve the lives of these vulnerable groups. Womenwatch is the central gateway to information and resources on the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women throughout the United Nations system, including the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the United Nations Secretariat, regional commissions, funds, programmes, specialized agencies, and academic and research institutions. The portal contains a directory of resources on selected topics including the critical areas of concern of the Beijing Platform for Action, statistics and indicators, gender mainstreaming and online clearinghouses on themes currently on the United Nations global agenda, such as climate change. The mission of Persian/ate Gender Network (PGN) is to establish a link and be a focal point among the multitude of organizations and individuals which work on gender issues in Persian-speaking countries(practitioners, researchers, academicians, civil society, policy makers, and advocates), so that they can capitalize on their collective knowledge and synergize each other's work and efforts.
The initial focus of PGN's work program is around women's economic empowerment through employment, self-employment and entrepreneurship. It serves women in Persian speaking countries of Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
PGN is initiated and funded by the World Bank and operated by the Tunisia-based Center for Arab Women's Training and Research (CAWTAR).

Musawah is a global movement for equality and justice in the Muslim family, calling for equality, non-discrimination, justice and dignity as the basis of all human relations; full and equal citizenship for every individual; and marriage and family relations based on principles of equality and justice, with men and women sharing equal rights and responsibilities. Musawah was initiated in March 2007 by Sisters in Islam, a Malaysian non-governmental organisation that promotes women's rights within the framework of Islam, and a twelve-member international planning committee of activists and scholars from eleven countries. The committee came together to consolidate information, experiences, and ideas that have been used by NGOs and activists in countries around the world to advance equality in the family.
Individuals and NGOs from some fifty countries around the world are involved with Musawah and include activists, scholars, academics, legal practitioners and policy-makers.
Across North Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, Europe, North America and Australasia, Musawah Advocates share information with activists in other countries working towards equality and justice in the family. Many of us have conducted national consultations on equality in the family, participated in the Musawah 2009 Global Meeting, and contributed to the conceptual framework that guides Musawah's work.

Women Gateway was established in 2002 as a joint venture project between the Bahrain Business Women's Society and Al-Nadeem Information Technology. The portal received special care and continuous support from HRH Princess Sabika Bent Ibrahim Alkhalifa wife of his majisty the King of Bahrain , President of the Supreme Council for Women.

Women Gateway addresses the Arab women and provide them with the information and services needed, aiming to enhance their contributions to the development of their communities, and improve their performance in the various fields of bussiness and professions.

Promoting gender EQUALITY between MEN and WOMEN in the Euro-Mediterranean:
Gender equality is a fundamental objective for the States in the Euro-Mediterranean area. They see it as a vector of democracy and peace in a region which aspires to coexistence, stability and prosperity and where the emancipation of women is regarded as a factor of development for society as a whole.
