Description:

Justice without Frontiers (JWF) is a secular, nonpolitical, nonprofit, nongovernmental, juristic civil organization, incorporated in November 2005 and headquartered in Beirut. Its role is to develop and promote democratic reform and rule of law, and undertake legal and social projects that support human rights. Justice without Frontiers attracts volunteers, professionals, and passionate individuals who believe in human right principles and are dedicated to work towards prosecuting violators and supporting victims who have no access to justice, at the national, regional, or international levels.


Project Background:
Justice without Frontiers is implementing a project with the partnership of Oxfam GB titled Women Access to Justice. This project aims to raise awareness about Women legal rights in the Family Law in Lebanon, to provide free legal consultations and legal support for women, to built a partnership relation with religious, community leaders, stakeholders, NGOs, jurists, university students, and to organize awareness raising sessions, trainings, seminars, and to conduct advocacy and media campaign.

Key responsabilites:
  • Follow up on day to day the implementation of the project
  • Ensure and maintain appropriate file system.
  • Plan and organize events such as conferences, consultations, focus groups, awareness raising sessions, etc.
  • Advise and assist the Program Director in developing strategy and in tasks such as research, hiring, financial management, etc.
  • Liaise and interact with JWF members, partner agencies, external collaborators and the general public
  • Represent JWF at conferences and meetings
  • Undertake any other responsibilities and tasks as required.
  • Mobilize and supervise volunteers.
  • Review and assist in the development of proposals, progress reports, and final reports as per donor requirements
  • Seek and solicit funding, under the guidance of the Program Coordinator
Key competencies:
  • A commitment to human rights
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Excellent judgment and ability to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to juggle a variety of tasks, manage own workload, and work flexibly
  • Creative thinking and good research skills
  • Ability to communicate easily and appropriately with people at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Native Arabic and excellent English skills (writing, reading, and correspondence)
  • Experience working with or for coalitions of non-profit organizations

Knowledge Required

  • Strong English and Arabic language skills
  • IT skills (Word, Excel, power point…)
