Background:
In response to the Syrian crisis, KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation is working to reduce the risks and incidence of gender-based violence (GBV) and improve the medical, psychological, social and legal counseling services for Syrians and Lebanese women and children residing in the different regions of Lebanon.

Job Description:
Within the project "Support Services to Syrian and Lebanese Women victims of GBV" supported by the UNFPA, KAFA is looking for a Project Assistant to support the implementation capacity and institutional building activities targeting health care providers in Lebanon, and the provision of direct services and care to GBV victims and survivors.

Key responsabilites:
  • Assist the Programme Manager in achieving all project objectives and results;
  • Provide necessary assistance and support in developing training and informational materials and tools addressing among other groups, health care providers;
  • Organize training and training of trainers workshops and follow up on the implementation;
  • Contribute in writing evaluation and periodic progress reports and assist the Program Manager in establishing monitoring and evaluation indicators in light of the objectives and expected results of the project;
  • Assist in following-up on the expenses of the project and the logistical  requirements;
  • Maintain and develop cooperative working relationships with relevant service providers, community centers and organizations, local businesses, police, the government, etc.;
  • Assist in setting up policies and procedures for the provisions of services and care of GBV victims and survivors;
  • Assist the Program Manager in developing a sustainability plan for the activities in the project;
  • Capture and document successful stories and best practices in the project;
Key competencies:
  • University degree in social sciences;
  • At least 2 years of experience with NGOs in community-based work;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and writing skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team, and under pressure;
  • Knowledge of and commitment to gender equality and gender-based violence;
  • Knowledge and skills in computer usage including power point and social media;
  • Readiness and fitness to commute between different regions in Lebanon;
Contract terms:

Period: Immediate recruiting for an eight-month contract.
