Graduation in women’s Tripoli VTC

To mark its 25th anniversary, the Association of Women’s Action held yesterday a graduation ceremony in Bab el Tabbaneh,Tripoli for a new group of students who completed courses in all disciplines at the school of women’s action for vocational training, the academic year 2017-2018. On the occasion, the head of the association, Sabah Taleb Mawlud, said: “We seek, fight and continue to struggle to help women break free from the ignorance of restrictions.” For her part, and speaking on behalf of graduates, Ulfat Mosawel said: “We have had a year of serious and active training on various vocations, including, tailoring and sewing, handicrafts, printing and computer, hairstyling and makeup, cooking, massage and men’s hairdressing.” The Association has equipped us, she continued, with educational, cultural and professional guidance to face life”s challenges. We were trained to achieve a decent living and plan for a prosperous future, as she put it. To close, certificates were distributed among the beneficiaries. (NNA, September 17, 2019)
