Saradar Bank women’s race in Beirut on March 31st

The minister of public works in the caretaker government, Yousef Finianos, discussed yesterday with the president of the Beirut Marathon Association, May Khalil, the hosting by Port of Beirut of the upcoming Saradar Bank Women’s Race to be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Following the meeting, Khalil said she informed the minister about the intention of holding the annual event at the Port, revealing that she has earlier visited the port’s CEO, Hassan Kreitim, who welcomed the idea. Khalil also mentioned that a press conference will be held on February 12 at the facility to officially announce the race, hoping the ministry’s participation will be a gesture in support of the Lebanese female athletes. Finianos for his part commended the role of the Beirut Marathon Association in polishing the country’s cultural image, stressing the need to highlight the role of the Port of Beirut through the Saradar race.
