Six migrant domestic workers violently dead since January

One week after the body of a Sri Lankan domestic worker was uncovered in Tyre (https://bit.ly/2K8QDwL), Civil Defense squads transferred the body of an Ethiopian MWDW found hanging inside her employer’s apartment in Bishmazine, Koora, to Burji Hospital in Amyoun. Earlier, security forces arrived at the scene and started investigation. According to L’Orient Le Jour, the migrant worker is very well treated by her employer’s family consisting of a dentist and his wife, a teacher, besides an Alzheimer’s patient whom she takes care of as well. The victim had no marks of violent treatment on her body, according to the medical report. With this death, the reported total number of dead migrant domestic workers in Lebanon since the start of this year is six. (L’Orient Le Jour, May 28, 2019)
