International Relief and Development (IRD) is one of the premier organizations implementing development services and programs across a broad spectrum of regions and technical activities. In brief : "Our mission is to reduce the suffering of the world's most vulnerable groups and to provide tools and resources needed to increase their self-sufficiency. Womenwatch is the central gateway to information and resources on the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women throughout the United Nations system, including the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the United Nations Secretariat, regional commissions, funds, programmes, specialized agencies, and academic and research institutions. The portal contains a directory of resources on selected topics including the critical areas of concern of the Beijing Platform for Action, statistics and indicators, gender mainstreaming and online clearinghouses on themes currently on the United Nations global agenda, such as climate change. WEDO works on a range of cross-cutting issues—from climate change and natural resource management, to global governance and finance and UN reform—toward three interlinked goals:Research and raising awareness, fostering and facilitating networks and campaigns, and building capacity and training—with women and women's organizations, gender advocates, government and UN actors, and many others—comprise strategies to meet WEDO's goals. While WEDO works at the international level primarily, it supports regional and national stakeholders, networks and governments to turn policy commitments on gender equality into action—striving to improve the lives of women and men around the world.

The AWO is an intergovernmental organization established under the umbrella of the League of Arab States and headquartered in Egypt. It emerged from the Cairo Declaration issued by the First Arab Women Summit which convened in Cairo in November 2000 in response to a call by H.E. Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, Egypt's First Lady and which was co-organized by the National Council for Women in Egypt, Hariri Foundation in Lebanon and the League of Arab States. The agreement came into effect in March 2003.

Musawah is a global movement for equality and justice in the Muslim family, calling for equality, non-discrimination, justice and dignity as the basis of all human relations; full and equal citizenship for every individual; and marriage and family relations based on principles of equality and justice, with men and women sharing equal rights and responsibilities. Musawah was initiated in March 2007 by Sisters in Islam, a Malaysian non-governmental organisation that promotes women's rights within the framework of Islam, and a twelve-member international planning committee of activists and scholars from eleven countries. The committee came together to consolidate information, experiences, and ideas that have been used by NGOs and activists in countries around the world to advance equality in the family.
Individuals and NGOs from some fifty countries around the world are involved with Musawah and include activists, scholars, academics, legal practitioners and policy-makers.
Across North Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, Europe, North America and Australasia, Musawah Advocates share information with activists in other countries working towards equality and justice in the family. Many of us have conducted national consultations on equality in the family, participated in the Musawah 2009 Global Meeting, and contributed to the conceptual framework that guides Musawah's work.

The Center of Arab Woman for Training and Research (CAWTAR) was created on March 7, 1993 in response to the request of a number of Arab governments and civil society organizations and institutions. CAWTAR was created to provide the region with a center of research and studies relating to gender and the status of women, of advocacy for the improvement of women's status and of data collection, indicators and statistics.

IGTN is a network of feminist gender specialists who provide technical information on gender and trade issues to women's groups, NGOs, social movements and governments and acts as a political catalyst to enlarge the space for a critical feminist perspective and global action on trade and globalization issues.
