A deceased woman who had been deprived of her maternal health rights has influenced for a doctor’s union to change their relationship with their patients and the media.  The union took several measures to protect the patients in regulating prescriptions, medical consultations, and forming a committee to correct their relationship with the media.

The Campaign of "Reciprocity” achieved its objectives || Articlels || Newspapers (Arabic)

"We are not minors, we are aware and mature people and we will put an end to the policies humiliating us and disgracing our rights."
With this title the organizers ended their "reciprocity" campaign during a press conference expressing their success in pushing the government to respond to their demands by changing the procedures adopted in the embassies. It should be noted though, that the campaign will continue to defend the Lebanese citizens’ "dignity" and the media will be ready to broadcast any complaint related to the topic.

Founded in 1976, the Afel Association provides care for children during wartime.  The children usually suffer from all forms of abuse.  Therapy is given to each child to help break the silence in sexual abuse cases.

CEO of Afel, Amal Farhat and other social experts spoke about certain cases that the association focuses care of as well as the relationship between Afel, other civil society organizations, and the Ministry of Social Affairs.  Farhat also indicated the importance of parental roles in protecting their children by providing healthy and informative sex education.

Salam Shreim, President of the Juvenile Protection Unit within the Ministry of Social Affairs, spoke about the Ministry’s plan in assigning professionals in schools and services’ centers to fight sexual harassments and protect children.
