Description:

The Executive Coordinator (EC) is in charge of leading, coaching and managing projects staff to identify, set and agree on short and long-term objectives ensuring alignment with Mada’s Mission and vision and in alliance with Mada’s Ethic code as well as financial and administrative guidelines. The EC will focus on strategic directions that are defined by Mada’s Administrative Committee (AC) and identify accordingly funding strategy and needs.

The Executive coordinator reports directly to the Administrative committee.

Key responsabilites:

Strategy Development and Implementation

- Attend AC meetings and participate actively in ensuring long-term funding support and ensuring alignment to Mada’s operational strategy, growth and quality standards of our programs.

- Communicate regularly with the AC on program issues, challenges and opportunities and ensure implementation and monitoring to AC strategical decisions.

- Reflect strategically in setting short and longer-term objectives and annual operating plans to be able to achieve the operational strategy.

- Support actively in determining fundraising opportunities in close coordination with the CA.

- Organize general assembly (every two years), elections, and members and friends activities.

- Report monthly on finance and project to the AC and upon request

- Draft board agenda in coordination with AC president

 

Project staff development

- Draft the staff Job description

- Supervise administration and finance coordinator and project coordinators and smooth running and progressive transition for Mada

- Coach and manage project staff in various areas such as but not limited to: proper delegation, empowerment, clear segregation of duties, etc.

- Ensure implementation of strong reporting disciplines with project staff, which enhance program quality and build positive relationship with donors and beneficiaries.

- Ensure that Mada’s spirit and values are correctly appropriated

- Ensure staff compliance with Mada’ core values and policies.

- Ensure the continuous capacity building for the staff

- Ensure staff evaluation is implemented and follow up on staff development objectives

 

Project and Program implementation

- Conduct regular field monitoring visits(twice a month) to ensure proper implementation of planned activities

- Organize weekly (Beirut's team) and monthly (All Mada’s staff) coordination meetings

- Ensure that a positive environment exists in the project office and staff is well managed

- Ensure that annual operating plans are implemented and the expenditures are within the budget.

- Ensure high level quality projects/programs in alliance with Mada’s standards. Lead on the strategy, development, implementation and evaluation with close coordination with projects coordinators.

- Work closely with the Finance team and projects coordinators on setting and reviewing project budgets.

 

Internal and external Communication

- Ensure flow of information's between staff, AC and Mada’s members

- Define members involvement and expansion strategy and follow up on its implementation

- Ensure yearly association reports are produced

- Supervise /elaborate communication strategy

 

Funding Strategy

- Organize and maintain  good relation with donors and different stakeholders

- Developfunding strategy in cooperation with the AC, the Finance and Administration coordinator

- Supervise proposal development in coordination with project coordinators, AC and in alignment with Mada operational strategy.

 

Association Financial supervision

- Work closely with the Finance Coordinator on the setting and reviewing  of the annual budget

- Ensure Mada financial projects related documents are correct and archived

- Follow up Mada’s guidelines and financial procedures are correctly implemented

 

Platform and expertise

- Ensure Mada’s expertise and platform projects are running smoothly and prepare progressive transition

 

Key competencies:

Knowledge, skills and abilities

- Full adherence to Mada’s Mission and vision, as well as Ethic code

- At least 10 years’ experience in development work

- Experience in team management

- University degree in a field related to Community development work

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Good managerial and leadership skills.

- Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.

- Excellent written Arabic and English, with good command in spoken Arabic and English. French is an asset.

- Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity.

- Clear understanding of the workings of major donor perspectives, requirements andstandards.

- Must be able to represent Mada to major program donors in a highly professional manner, in person and in writing.

- Experience in Project Cycle Management.

- Prioritise the cases of women victims of domestic violence by creating a special family court for that effect

Position title: MDW Program Coordinator

About KAFA:
KAFA is a feminist Lebanese non-profit civil society organization working towards eradicating all forms of gender-based violence and exploitation of women through advocating for legal reform and change of policies and practices, influencing public opinion, and empowering victims.

Key responsabilites:

Duties: KAFA is seeking a senior program coordinator for its program on MDWs’ rights within the Exploitation and Trafficking in Women Unit. The following duties are requested from the position holder:


-         Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of projects within the MDWs program, as well as manage the day-to-day work of the Unit team

-         Work closely with migrant domestic workers communities, provide them with necessary support and capacity building

-         Develop materials and conduct awareness raising sessions and training on the rights of MDWs targeting different groups as needed

-         Conduct assessments on the needs of migrant domestic workers and write reports about their situations

-         Work occasionally nights and weekends to attend migrant community events or to organize activities for migrant domestic workers

-         Assist in developing and implementing advocacy demands and strategies

-         Liaise and coordinate with public authorities, NGOs, migrant community members, media personnel and other stakeholders in support of KAFA’s advocacy work

-         Identify new opportunities in terms of advocacy, actions, and funds

-         Respond to and approach media, and represent KAFA in local and international conferences and forums
 

Key competencies:

Qualifications:

-         Master’s degree or a higher degree in a relevant field (Humanities, Law, Human Rights, Migration Gender studies, etc.)

-         A minimum of 7 years of work experience in NGOs, preferably in relation to gender or migration issues

-         Good knowledge of human rights and gender issues

-         Commitment to the principles of equality and non-discrimination

-         Good managerial skills

-          Proactive and problem solving

-         Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work under stress, in a team, and with people from diverse backgrounds

-         Fluency in English and Arabic with excellent writing skills in both languages

JOB TITLE: Prevention Program Officer

Key responsabilites:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Close Supervision on the Community Outreach Mobilizers

-   Organize regular meetings with COM to oversee the weekly and monthly work plans

-   Support the conceptualizing and rolling out of work plan when needed

-   Attend on regular basis the mobile psychosocial support activities and  information/awareness sessions with women and girls planned and implemented by the COM

-   Assess and evaluate the implemented work of the COM on a monthly basis

-   Support COMs to identify gateways for the provision of community outreach activities

-   Collect, compile and analyze monthly reports from the field

2. Close Supervision on the Psycho-Social Social Worker

-   Organize regular meetings with PSSW to oversee the monthly work plan and PSS tools used

-   Support the work plan when needed

-   Attend on regular basis the psychosocial support sessions:  FGDs, emotional support groups, other PSS tools for women and girls

-   Assess and evaluate the implemented work on a monthly basis

3. Coordination with Safe Space Directors

-   Close cooperation with Safe Space Directors to coordinate the set programs

-   Maintain regular contact with the Centers’ Directors to ensure smooth collaboration.

4. Reporting to Safe Space Manager

-   Work closely with Safe Space Manager on all issues related to programs and activities conducted by the COM and the PSSW.

-   Write monthly reports pertaining to the activities conducted by the COM and PSSW.

5. Coordination:

-   Attend monthly GBV field WGs, coordinate actively with field WG to identify gaps for mobile outreach on a continuous basis.

6. Other:

-   Respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy

-   Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and ABAAD Director

 

Key competencies:

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

-   MA in social work or  BA with at least 5 years experience

-   Knowledge of GBV prevention and response

-   Experience working directly with refugees and other groups

-   Experience working directly with women and girls

-   Strong communication and interpersonal skills

-   Commitment to human rights, gender equality, non-discrimination

-   Flexible pro-active attitude

-   Ability to work well as an individual and in a team

-   Ability to manage an unpredictable workload in a challenging environment

-   Ability to work across socio-cultural and religious contexts

-   Belief in ABAAD’s mission and vision

-   Languages: Fluency in spoken and written Arabic, clear and concise reporting in English is strongly preferred. French is a plus

-   Experience in managing  and training community volunteers

-   Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
