Job  Vacancy | Response Program Officer

JOB TITLE: Response Program Officer

Key responsabilites:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-  Oversee the work of GBV Case Workers in providing direct support and counseling to vulnerable women and girls;

-  Ensure the provision of quality case management;

-  Ensure that all the services offered are in compliance with standards and tools.

Monitoring & Reporting:

- Prepare and submit to the Women and Girls Safe Space Manager the monthly and 3-month work plans in a timely manner;

- Receive, review, analyze and compile reports received from the field;

- Provide on the job coaching to case workers in the field;

- Participate in weekly internal meetings and monthly team meetings to ensure adherence to standards of appropriate case management;

- Coordinate with and represent ABAAD at Working Group meetings.

Coordination:

- As requested undertake/participate in liaison, coordination, and information sharing activities with national NGOs, international organizations, donors and government


Other duties as assigned by the supervisor:

- Continuously coordinate with GBV Case Workers and field working groups for referral pathways in target areas;

- Make recommendations to WGSS Program Management team.

Key competencies:

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- MA in social work or a BA with at least 5 years experience

- Knowledge of GBV prevention and response

- Knowledge of case management principles

- Strong case management experience based on survivor-centered approach

- Experience working with refugees and other groups

- Familiarity with GBV data collection system and safe and ethical guidelines

- Ability to work with both adult and child survivors

- Respect guiding principles of safety, confidentiality, non-discrimination.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Commitment to human rights and gender equality

- Flexible pro-active attitude

- Ability to work well as an individual and in a team

- Ability to manage an unpredictable workload in a challenging environment

- Ability to work across socio-cultural and religious contexts

- Belief in ABAAD’s mission and vision

- Respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy

- Languages: Fluency in spoken and written Arabic, clear and concise reporting in English is strongly preferred. French is a plus

- Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

JOB TITLE: Psychosocial Social Worker

Key responsabilites:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 I. Designing special programs related to psychosocial activities

- Assess the community needs for proper activities planning  in the safe spaces

- Maintain regular contact with GBV Case Manager and Community Outreach Mobilizers to asses needs

- Coordinate with Prevention Program Officer for advising on relative activities  


II. Psychosocial Activities

- Collaborate closely with other staff to organize psychosocial activities in the Women and Girls Safe Space

- Asses communities with psychosocial needs and make recommendations for the provision of psychosocial activities

- Design and roll-out weekly psycho-social activities inside the Women and Girls Safe Space

- Recommend the initiation of age appropriate and psychosocial activities for women and adolescent girls

- Liaise with consultants for organization of group psycho-social activities (such as art therapy, music therapy, mother and child activities…etc)
 

III. Coordination:

- Participate in weekly internal meetings with Prevention Program Officer and GBV Case Manager

- Gather feedback at the community level regarding ABAAD safe spaces program and share information with supervisor

- Coordinate with GBV Field WG on PSS activities with women and girls.

IV. Reporting to Program Prevention Officer

- Work closely with Prevention Program Officer on all issues related to psychosocial programs and activities to be conducted

- Write monthly reports pertaining to the activities being implemented.

V. Other:

- Respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy

- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Key competencies:

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Degree in social work/ Psychosocial or related field

- Knowledge of GBV prevention and response

Position title: MDW Program Coordinator

Location: Beirut

About KAFA: KAFA is a feminist Lebanese non-profit civil society organization working towards eradicating all forms of gender-based violence and exploitation of women through advocating for legal reform and change of policies and practices, influencing public opinion, and empowering victims.

Key responsabilites:

Duties: KAFA is seeking a senior program coordinator for its program on MDWs’ rights within the Exploitation and Trafficking in Women Unit. The following duties are requested from the position holder:
-          Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of projects within the MDWs program, as well as manage the day-to-day work of the Unit team

-          Work closely with migrant domestic workers communities, provide them with necessary support and capacity building

-          Develop materials and conduct awareness raising sessions and training on the rights of MDWs targeting different groups as needed

-          Conduct assessments on the needs of migrant domestic workers and write reports about their situations

-          Work occasionally nights and weekends to attend migrant community events or to organize activities for migrant domestic workers

-          Assist in developing and implementing advocacy demands and strategies

-          Liaise and coordinate with public authorities, NGOs, migrant community members, media personnel and other stakeholders in support of KAFA’s advocacy work

-          Identify new opportunities in terms of advocacy, actions, and funds

-          Respond to and approach media, and represent KAFA in local and international conferences and forums

Key competencies:

Qualifications:

-          Master’s degree or a higher degree in a relevant field (Humanities, Law, Human Rights, Migration and Gender studies)

-          A minimum of 7 years of work experience in NGOs, preferably in relation to gender or migration issues

-          Good knowledge of human rights and gender issues

-          Commitment to the principles of equality and non-discrimination

-          Good managerial skills

-           Proactive and problem solving

-          Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work under stress, in a team, and with people from diverse backgrounds

-          Fluency in English and Arabic with excellent writing skills in both languages

Contract terms:

Contract terms: One year renewable, with a probation period of 3 months

I. Community Outreach and Mobilization

-         Conduct information and awareness sessions with women and girls in the community to disseminate information about available services and key protection concerns

-         Identify and assess new communities to be engaged in the safe spaces activities

-         Maintain regular contact with community focal points and community outreach volunteers

-         Identify and engage key “gatekeepers” within the community to ensure access of ABAAD teams

II. Risk mitigation activities

-         In close collaboration with Community Focal Points (CFP) conduct regular safety audits to identify risks identified by women and girls within their community

-         Support community outreach volunteers  and women and girls community groups  in developing strategies to address and/or mitigate risks

-         Facilitate referral of identified needs to humanitarian organizations and other service providers, ensuring follow up and feedback to the community

III. Support to Community Outreach Volunteers

-         Identify and recruit community outreach volunteers amongst the refugee and host communities

-         Conduct trainings of community outreach volunteers

-         Organize regular planning and reporting meetings with community outreach volunteers and gather feedback on community mobilization activities on a regular basis

IV. Psychosocial Activities
